Affiliate Organizations / Overview

Ten organizations, representing some of the professional county government staffs, are affiliated with MACo. These groups work to improve their own capabilities and assist the Association in formulating its legislative program. The groups vary in meeting frequency, structure, and focus.
MACo’s Affiliates are:

Administrators -The Maryland Association of County Administrative Officers
Aging - The Maryland Association of County Agencies on Aging
Attorneys - The Maryland Association of County Civil Attorneys
Corrections - Maryland Correctional Administrators Association

County Engineers Association of Maryland (CEAM) or Engineers - General Information

Environmental Health - Maryland Conference of Local Environmental Health Directors
Health - The Maryland Association of County Health Officers
Human Services - The Maryland Association of County Human Services Administrators
Parks & Recreation - The Maryland Association of County Park & Recreation Administrators
Planners - The Maryland Association of County Planning Officials
County Human Resources Directors and County Information Technology directors are sub-affiliates of the County Administrators affiliate.
