Conferences & Events / Overview

MACo offers three annual conferences for its members, state officials, and other interested parties.

* The Winter Conference is held annually in early December except following an election year when it is held later in January. The location rotates between various Maryland locations. The three-day event, that draws nearly 500 people, focuses on continuing education and reviewing issues that will be relevant during the upcoming Maryland General Assembly.

* The Summer Conference & Trade Show is a four-day event, held annually at the Roland Powell Convention Center in August. The conference features continuing education and a 230-booth trade show designed to provide elected officials with education and networking opportunities. More than 1,600 people attend the conference.

The next Summer Conference is scheduled for August 18-21, 2004 at the Roland Powell Convention Center in Ocean City, Maryland.

* The Administrators & Attorneys Annual Fall Conference is held at varying Maryland locations. This two-day event is provided for county attorneys, administrators, human resources directors, and information technology directors. Continuing education is the primary focus of the event. Approximately 80 persons attend.

The 2004 Administrators & Attorneys Annual Fall Conference is scheduled for October 13-15, 2004 at a location to be announced.
